Arsenal are not currently focusing on the summer transfer window, with the Champions League final against PSG in Budapest firmly their priority. However, once the Hungarian issue is resolved and the players depart for the North American World Cup, the focus will inevitably shift to strengthening the team.

Significant developments regarding some of their targets have already taken shape in recent days. The first is that Atletico Madrid striker Julián Álvarez, who coach Andrea Berta is keen to sign, is moving closer and closer to Barcelona. According to football.london, it is true that Alvarez is determined to move to Camp Nou despite significant interest from both the Gunners and PSG.

Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Crupi is also a player on the radar of Arsenal. Many of the Premier League’s top clubs have admired Crupi, who scored a top-flight 13 goals in his debut season with the Cherries.

However, Bournemouth officials confirmed on Thursday that they had no intention of selling him this summer as they prepare for their first-ever tour of Europe.

The south coast club are under no pressure to raise funds and are determined to continue growing with Crupi, Ryan and Alex Scott, who has just been offered a new contract, at the helm.

Manchester City are also one of the clubs interested in Crupi, but they would need a huge transfer fee to lure him away from the Vitality Stadium.

As a result, Arsenal may have to look elsewhere, although securing a new striker remains not an urgent priority.

Signing a left-winger is also high on the agenda, with PSG trickster Bradley Barcola thought to be a coveted target.

The Gunners are similarly keen to strengthen their midfield options and could potentially move him to the right-back position.

“Business never stops,” Arsenal co-chairman Josh Kroenke told NBC Sports when asked about his plans for the summer. “So there are other teams right now that are already building up for next season, so we need to be cognizant of that.”

“We’ve already had several conversations about various areas where we think we can improve both on and off the pitch and I’m looking forward to taking that forward this summer.”

“It’s going to be an interesting game because of the World Cup, but fortunately we’re all coming to the United States so we don’t have to travel at all.”
