Untold UK: Vinnie Jones comes to Netflix, giving us an inside look at the 61-year-old’s eventful life and career.
From his early days as a standout defensive midfielder for clubs such as Wimbledon FC and Leeds United, to his legendary roles in films, this famous Londoner has been a household name for decades.
A new Netflix documentary takes an in-depth look at his career, including an exclusive interview with Vinnie himself, looking back on his playing days, including his key role in leading Wimbledon to glory in the 1988 FA Cup final, and his notoriously combative playing style.
Since then, he has won recognition for his performances in major British and Hollywood productions, including Lock, Stock, Two Smoking Barrels with Guy Ritchie and Netflix’s The Gentlemen, reports the Mirror.
But there’s one question fans may be wondering that the Netflix series doesn’t address. That’s exactly how much Vinny has accumulated over his 50-year career.

As of this year, Vinny is worth the equivalent of $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
This is due to his combined income as a midfielder for various football clubs such as Wimbledon, Leeds, Sheffield United, Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers.
He also served as president and captain of the Wales national team, and later rose to fame with appearances in a number of popular films and television shows.
He was once rumored to be earning £505,000 a week, and The Sun newspaper reported that he dismissed the backlash over footballers’ salaries as “nonsense”.

“You’re not going to say Rod Stewart is getting paid too much when he’s 75, 80 years old, right?” he said. “Madonna, is she getting paid too much? She goes out for an hour and gets paid X amount of millions.”
However, in the later stages of his football career at QPR, he was reportedly taking home pay of around £10,000 a week.
Vinnie’s sporting career unfolded in the 1980s and 1990s, long before footballers’ incomes skyrocketed, so an acting venture proved even more lucrative for the hard-nosed Watford native.
Most notably, he won a whopping £2 million (£40,816 per word) for a supporting role in the gangster thriller Swordfish, starring John Travolta and Hugh Jackman, for just 49 words of dialogue.

Vinny was also reportedly given £300,000 for helping make Netflix’s new Untold UK documentary.
He currently lives on a 2,000-acre country estate in Petworth, West Sussex, half of which he rents. Fans can learn more about his incredible hometown in the Discovery+ series Vinnie Jones in the Country.
The exact value of the property has not yet been revealed, but it is thought to be worth several million pounds.
