Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years after Josep Guardiola’s Manchester City could only manage a draw away at Bournemouth.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal heroes were crowned champions after Manchester City ultimately succumbed to the title race.
Arsenal’s team celebrated at the club’s training ground after the second half session and watched Bournemouth win the title.
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice posted on social media: “All said and done. It’s over.” They celebrated amid wild scenes before queuing for a team photo holding a giant cardboard cutout of the Premier League trophy.
Rice insisted it was “not over yet” after Arsenal lost to City last month and Josep Guardiola’s side clinched the title after dropping a point against Bournemouth.

It is a heartbreaking farewell for Guardiola, with the City manager preparing to leave the Etihad after 10 years in charge after Sunday’s final home game against Aston Villa.
Guardiola congratulated his former assistant Arteta, who led Arsenal to their first title in 22 years. He said: “Mikel, congratulations to Arsenal, they were phenomenal.
“We were close. On behalf of all of Manchester City, I would like to congratulate Mikel and all the staff, players and fans on winning the Premier League. They deserve it.”
But Guardiola refused to reveal his future plans, adding: “I have one year left on my contract and I will talk to the chairman at the end of the season.”
“I won’t say it here. I have to speak to the chairman, the players and the staff. I’m the happiest person in the world to be at this extraordinary club.”
“I’m the happiest person on earth to be at this club. This club is extraordinary. We’ll talk and make a decision at the end of the season.”
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola said in a farewell speech after leading his club to Europe: “It was something we never imagined at the beginning of the season. It was very good and in the last game we had a chance to fight for Champions League qualification and we really deserved this, especially considering the game in which we played so well.”
“We haven’t won the game, but that doesn’t matter.” I really enjoyed how we played and the character we showed. I wanted to win because we had a big chance to score the second goal, but I enjoyed it. ”
