Arsenal fans gather at Emirates Stadium after Gunners are crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years
Arsenal supporters gathered at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal won their first Premier League title in 22 years. They were joined by club legend Ian Wright.
The Gunners defeated Burnley 1-0 at the Emirates on Monday night to secure their part of the deal, before turning their attention to the south coast where Manchester City take on Bournemouth. Barring City’s victory, Mikel Arteta’s men will be crowned champions.
Eli Junior Crupi curled the ball into the top corner of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s goal in the 40th minute, much to Arsenal’s delight. City salvaged a draw with a goal from Erling Haaland, but it wasn’t enough for Pep Guardiola’s side, with Arsenal clinching the title.

Video footage from Emirates Stadium quickly surfaced on social media, showing fans setting off smoke bombs to mark the team’s first title win in more than 20 years.
One video, taken outside the Armory, shows Arsenal supporters jumping around arm in arm, hugging each other. Meanwhile, in another clip, flares illuminate the night sky as chants of “Champion, champion, ole, ole, ole” echo.
Pictures show club legend Wright taking part in the celebrations. The former striker was an important part of the Arsenal team that won the Premier League in the 1997-98 season.
“Look at how Arsenal fans are celebrating in front of the Emirates Stadium. It’s a joy that’s been delayed for years,” said one supporter.
Another said: “North London and Emirates Stadium are shaking.” Meanwhile, a third wrote: “Emirates Stadium is a real mess!”
“So happy for the young fans experiencing this for the first time. Everyone at Emirates knows why they are champions,” a fourth posted.
Yet another added: “Someone please teleport me to Emirates right now!”
Arsenal are set to lift the Premier League trophy this Sunday with a short trip to Selhurst Park for the final clash against Crystal Palace.
