Arsenal have been officially named 2026 Premier League champions and Declan Rice was one of the players to speak out in the aftermath of the Gunners’ long wait ending
Declan Rice could finally claim it was ‘done’ after Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions.
The England midfielder infamously said the title race was not over yet after the Gunners’ heartbreaking defeat to Manchester City earlier this season. But shortly after Arsenal were crowned champions, he shared a photo on Instagram alongside teammates Kai Havertz, Eberechi Eze, William Saliba, Miles Lewis-Skelly and Bukayo Saka.
Rice’s post was captioned, “All said and done…it’s done,” along with a red heart and trophy emoji. His post was in reference to a comment he made to Martin Odegaard that he was “not finished yet” which went viral on the internet, shortly after Arsenal’s loss to Man City and Josep Guardiola’s side looked set to take control of the title.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta was among those to praise Rice’s comments. In his lecture at the time, he said:

“That was an emotion that I felt immediately, even if they probably didn’t express it in the dressing room, and it was very powerful.”
In the end, Arsenal won with one game remaining. A 1-0 win at Burnley on Monday night gave City a draw with Bournemouth and clinched their first title in 22 years.
Rice wasn’t the only one to speak out Tuesday night. Arsenal manager Arteta said: “We have made history together again. I couldn’t be happier and prouder for everyone involved in this football club. Let’s enjoy this moment.”
Meanwhile, former manager Arsene Wenger also appears in an emotional montage shared on Arsenal’s official account.
The legendary Frenchman said: “You did it. Champions continue when others stop. It’s your time now. Go on, go on and enjoy every moment.”
Arsenal are looking forward to lifting the trophy on the final day of the campaign against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. They will then turn their attention to the Champions League final, where they could make history with a spectacular double.
The north London side will face French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the final in Budapest in two weeks’ time.
