Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola will leave the club after the final game of the season after 10 trophy-winning years in charge.
Josep Guardiola will leave Manchester City this weekend. The Spaniard will take charge of the Blues’ final two Premier League games against Bournemouth and Aston Villa before departing from the Etihad.
Guardiola guided City to the FA Cup with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday. And it could be the Catalan’s final accolade as City manager after a trophy-filled decade in charge.
City still have a chance to win the title, but they need to win their remaining two games and will hope Arsenal drop points against Crystal Palace.
Guardiola led City to six Premier League titles, including an unprecedented fourth in a row. He also led the Blues to their first and only Champions League title, along with three FA Cups, five League Cups and three Community Shields.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has long been rumored to be leaving Manchester at the end of this season, and City began communicating this to key stakeholders ahead of Sunday’s announcement.
Guardiola’s contribution to City will be celebrated on Monday with an open-top bus parade through Manchester with players, women’s teams and academy teams.
Former Leicester and Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is considered the likely candidate to replace Guardiola. He was one of Pep’s assistants at City during the 2022-23 season before moving on to manage the Foxes.
Guardiola was Barcelona manager for four years, then Bayern Munich for three years before moving to City in 2016.
He won titles in his second and third years at the Etihad, but lost to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. However, it was an unprecedented run of four consecutive wins until Arne Slott returned the title to Anfield last season.
City lost to Chelsea in the Champions League final in 2021, but Guardiola got his revenge two years later when his side beat Inter Milan to win their first European Cup.
It was Guardiola’s first Champions League victory as a manager since he won the title in the 2010-11 season as Barcelona manager.
