Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has responded brutally to rival fans after years of being ridiculed for the Gunners’ failure to win the Premier League.
The England winger admitted there were moments when rival supporters were “laughing” at Arsenal’s title ambitions.
But he added, “They’re not laughing anymore” in the video, which quickly went viral.
The 24-year-old played a key role in the team’s resurgence under Arteta, helping to transform the club from top-four hopes to serious contenders for the Premier League and Champions League.
Arsenal fans flooded the streets around the Emirates Stadium in jubilation after Manchester City suffered a shock defeat to Bournemouth and the Gunners were crowned Premier League champions.
Thousands of supporters gathered outside the ground as news broke that Josep Guardiola’s side had failed on the south coast, handing the title to Mikel Arteta’s side in dramatic fashion.
Celebrations continued into the night as red smoke bombs filled the air and fans climbed onto bus stops, sang club songs and waved scarves.
In a video published on Arsenal’s social media channels, Arteta said: “We have made history together again. I couldn’t be happier and prouder for everyone involved in this football club. Let’s enjoy this moment.”
Iconic manager Arsene Wenger, the club’s most recent title winner before Arteta, said in the same film: “You’ve done it. Champions keep going, even when other champions stop.”
“Now is your time. Go ahead and enjoy every moment.”
