Predictions for Man City’s next manager as Josep Guardiola is set to leave this week | Soccer | Sports

According to the report, the final bow has been taken. This campaign marks the end of an era for Manchester City, and indeed the Premier League, as Josep Guardiola bids farewell to the club after 10 years.

His achievements were unparalleled with a 70% winning percentage, six Premier League titles, one Champions League Trophy, two FA Cups, five EFL Cups, three Community Shields, a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup, and it is no exaggeration to say that his tenure in England was a dynasty and one that many will remember with great fondness.

The search for his successor has now begun, with a championship-winning manager being named as the frontrunner. City bosses will no doubt be looking for a replacement who can maintain Guardiola’s extraordinary achievements over the past decade, so it is inevitable that other high-profile names will be linked with the position.

Nevertheless, it turns out to be more difficult than it seems at the moment.

Bookmaker BetVictor currently has the market available, with former Leicester City and Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca positioned as the 1/2 favorite. The former Blues head coach has previously worked with Guardiola at City and this appears to be the most sensible option, especially given that he is currently without a club since leaving Stamford Bridge.

Potential replacements include the possibility of a return to the Etihad Stadium for Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany, who has impressed with Bayern’s achievements with the club, including back-to-back Bundesliga titles.

Further outside candidates include 6/1 PSG’s Luis Enrique, who led the Parisians to their first Champions League victory and back-to-back final appearances.

Odds for next Man City manager

Enzo Maresca – 1/2 Vincent Kompany – 2/1 Luis Enrique – 6/1 Andoni Iraola – 6/1 Oliver Glasner – 12/1 Roberto de Zerbi – 14/1BAR – 16/1
