Arsenal are having a fantastic season and Mikel Arteta’s stars have embraced fan-made songs, providing the soundtrack to their celebrations as they aim for glory.
Mikel Arteta has become Arsenal’s resident DJ, providing the soundtrack for the season. The Spaniard was also seen dancing with joy on the pitch after Arsenal’s Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.
Gunners boss Arteta is hoping there will be more celebrations as his side lead the charge for the Premier League title and aim to reach the Champions League final. They had been playing their song in the locker room for weeks, and after Atlético’s win, it was played over the stadium’s public address system.
An Arsenal fan created a song and released it on Spotify with the lyrics “Set piece again me, me” before playing the names of all the players.
Players liked it when they heard it, and now Arteta himself is leading the charge in developing their own version, perfected through an artificial intelligence online app.

A sound producer was also hired and they completed their own songs, which were played in the stadium and could be heard backstage. Basically, you chant all the players’ names to the beat of the drum machine.
They hope to play the song again after Arsenal’s game against West Ham, and Arteta said he hopes it will be the soundtrack to a successful season and would be happy to dance again.
Asked if people don’t see that side of him more, Arteta said: “That side? The dancing part? That was level one! There are still many levels to go. I hope they see that at the end of the season.”
Arteta was very modest about the origin of the song, but said his players were happy to dance along. Headed: “Somehow, it got there. The players really like it. I love it.”
And when I asked if that would be the soundtrack, he said, “Yeah.”
Arsenal already have their own theme song, ‘North London Forever’, but now they’ve got a new one to keep things up.
