Bayern Munich 1-1 (Total: 5-6) PSG: Reigning European champions PSG further qualified for the final after defeating German giants Bayern Munich
Arsenal will face PSG in the 2026 Champions League final after the French team dominated Bayern Munich for a 6-5 aggregate victory.
Ballon d’Or holder Ousmane Dembélé picked up where he left off in the French capital, turning Juvica Kvaratschelia’s low cross past Manuel Neuer to give PSG the lead on the night. And that will be the winner of the match.
After that, there were no controversies, but unfortunately the scoring rate decreased. Bayern were furious after seeing Nuno Mendes, who had already been booked, handle the ball, but the referee did not think he deserved a sending off.
Joao Neves was then accused of handballing inside the box, but the referee again remained unmoved. Bayern dominated for most of the match, with Harry Kane scoring late on to give his team late hope.
But in the end, time ran out and the German side were less than six years removed from their European crown. Meanwhile, PSG have the chance to win back-to-back titles just 12 months after ending their long wait for their first European win.

Having seen Dembele score twice in Paris, Bayern would want to keep an eye on him at home. But after just three minutes, he escaped their gaze.
Fabian Ruiz’s pass freed Kvaratskhelia on the left and the Georgian took Dembele, who darted into the goal.
However, Bayern continued to create chances. Michael Olise came close to scoring twice and Matvey Safonov had to deny Jamal Musiala.
The host country was also furious after there were two unfavorable handball decisions. After an early booking, Mendes clearly handled the ball, but the referee ruled that Konrad Reimer committed a similar violation early in the movement.
Vincent Kompany and his players appealed for a different decision after Vicinha’s clearance hit Neves, but the referee remained unmoved. According to the rules of the game, a touch is not considered a handball if a teammate accidentally plays the ball.
Bayern continued to explore throughout the second half, but powerful shots from Lennart Karl and Reimer were deflected. England captain Harry Kane scored in stoppage time, but Kompany’s side were eliminated in one of the most entertaining two-legged semi-finals in European history.
All eyes now turn to the Champions League final on May 30th, when Arsenal will face PSG. It will either be a back-to-back champion or a first-time winner who will celebrate in Budapest.
