Arsenal have been handed their predictions for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain by Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.
Manager Gary Lineker has an “eerie feeling” that Arsenal will win both the Premier League and Champions League titles. The Gunners have had great success in both competitions over the past week, finishing top of the league and reaching the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
The showdown is more than three weeks away, but predictions are already being made with Lineker and Alan Shearer at odds over who they believe will be crowned European champion in Budapest.
Speaking on the latest episode of The Rest is Football podcast, Shearer said: “I think PSG (will win) because they know what they’re doing and they probably don’t feel as much pressure as Arsenal.
“Also, they have the ability in every position and Luis Enrique has done it before. It’s just for those reasons. I don’t know if it’s going to be a great final, but I think they have the ability to get through it.”

Lineker replied: “I don’t know about that, but there will be a lot of good players on the pitch and the final will often be a sticky game.”
“I had a sneaky hunch that Arsenal were going to win the double. I think PSG would have to be the favorites going into the game. I would probably say 60-40 in their favor, something like that. But I just had a hunch.”
“My feelings are usually wrong, by the way!” While Lineker and Shearer offered specific predictions, fellow presenter Micah Richards hedged his bets: “If you analyze the season as a whole, Arsenal have a bigger chance than people give them credit for. They won the league and were the best team.”
Sky Sports, HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+ and Ultimate TV packages

Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundles to include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, plus 135 channels and complete coverage of the Premier League and EFL from Sky.
Sky has over 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more, with at least 215 of them live from the top flight, along with F1, darts and golf.
“If Arsenal take the lead, they will win. But I think PSG have more ways to play. That way they can play defensively and they can match you (tactically).”
“Based on that, I think PSG will win. But if Arsenal score first, they can contain it. Whoever scores first wins,” Lineker quipped mercilessly: “Look, he’s hiding. Basically anything can happen!”

PSG won when the two sides clashed in the semi-finals of last season’s Champions League, with Luis Enrique’s side defeating Inter 5-0 in the final.
Before their next match in Budapest, Arsenal have three important league games against West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace in their quest for the title.
There is a five-point difference between Mikel Arteta’s side and Manchester City, who were held to a stalemate against Everton, with their remaining games remaining against Brentford, Palace, Bournemouth and Aston Villa.
