Marcus Rashford has four games left to convince Barcelona to sign him on a permanent switch from Manchester United, but two of his team-mates are speaking glowingly of him.
Barcelona stars Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski have both praised Marcus Rashford as the club consider signing him on a permanent transfer. Rashford, 28, is in the final month of his loan spell with Barça, who could keep him by paying Manchester United a fee of £26 million.
The England international has scored 13 goals despite being a starter. Manager Hansi Flick prefers Raphinha, but the Brazilian’s injury has opened the door for Rashford throughout the season.
Rashford has also provided 11 assists, his latest coming in Saturday’s crucial 2-1 win over Osasuna. The United loanee, who came on as a substitute, smashed in a wonderful cross for Lewandowski to break the deadlock in the 81st minute.
After the match, Lewandowski praised Rashford’s “beautiful” ball. “He has incredible crossing ability,” the 37-year-old began.

“Sometimes it’s not about power but perfect precision. I’m a striker and I can tell you that that ball was beautiful. It was perfect for me to put it in.”
The win means Barcelona can clinch the La Liga title on Sunday by defeating arch-rivals Real Madrid in their first El Clasico at the Camp Nou since March 2023. De Jong also witnessed Rashford’s great moments on the pitch and praised him in an interview with the Guardian.
“He’s a really good guy,” the midfielder said. “He is open and kind and has a great influence on us on the pitch.
“With his speed and depth, he really adds a lot to our game. And by doing that, he can also push the opposition defense back a little bit, which creates more space in our middle.”

Flick is also a big fan and praised Rashford for his side’s 2-0 win over Getafe last weekend. “He played a great game,” said the Barcelona manager.
“This is what we expect from him. I’m very happy with his goal because it’s important for us and it’s important for him to contribute.”
Rashford has made no secret of his desire to remain at Barça. After hosting Real, the Spanish giants head to Deportivo Alaves before their final home match against Real Betis. On the last day, we visited Valencia.
