Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been regularly linked with a move to Real Madrid since leaving Anfield, but the German has been told to think carefully about a move to the Bernabeu.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has been told to avoid a move to Real Madrid as the Spanish side search for their next manager. Real have already made one change to their dugout this season, replacing Xabi Alonso with Alvaro Arbeloa.
They are expected to pursue new changes this summer after a disappointing season. Former Liverpool manager Klopp has been regularly linked with a possible move to the Bernabeu since leaving Anfield.
Former Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has given his opinion and believes the German player should tread carefully. In an interview with Marca he said: “If I were Jurgen Klopp, I don’t know if I would do that.
“Are Real Madrid and Jurgen Klopp a good fit? If you analyze it more deeply, Jurgen is one of those players who likes to develop and build.”
“Furthermore, he works within a defined system. Real Madrid is completely different. Real Madrid is a collection of individuals, a group of superstars who absolutely refuse to have any ideas imposed on them.”

“We saw it in Xabi Alonso’s game. As a manager, it’s about being respectful, connecting with your players, being able to manage big stars and convincing them of the system you’re trying to put in place.”
Klopp has spoken candidly about Real Madrid’s job this season, suggesting the role may be more difficult than some think. After Alonso was sacked, he said: “Actually,[the phone]was ringing – not from Madrid. But certainly there were some people who felt they had to contact me directly about this!”
“First of all, I think this is another sign that something is not going right at the moment, given how outstanding his coaching ability has been in the last two years at Leverkusen, given his age and the number of jobs he has held, but to be forced to leave Madrid after just six months, it shows a few things.
“On the one hand, this shows that today we are running out of time. On the other hand, Real Madrid’s expectations are clearly huge. To make such a decision in this heated competition after yesterday’s loss to Barcelona in the cup final says a lot.”
Real manager Florentino Perez appears to have other options in mind than Klopp. Jose Mourinho is eyeing a return to Benfica despite having a contract with the club, according to reports.
