Erling Haaland scored the winning goal as Manchester City beat Arsenal on Sunday, moving them within three points of the Gunners in the Premier League title race.
Erling Haaland has stepped up his psychological warfare with Arsenal after reminding them of their recent failure to win the title.
Haaland scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad on Sunday. This means City are just three points adrift of Mikel Arteta’s league leaders with a game in hand.
City can replace Arsenal at the top of the table on goal difference if they beat Burnley by at least two goals on Wednesday night. Bookmakers have made Josep Guardiola’s team the new favorites to be crowned champions once again.
Arsenal have finished runners-up in the past three seasons. And Haaland was quick to remind his rivals of this fact.
Asked if City were on Arsenal’s mind, he said: “I don’t know. You have to ask them.”

“They didn’t do well last season. (But) I don’t want to talk too much about them because they are a great team and we should focus on ourselves.”
Arsenal have not won a title for more than 20 years, while City have been crowned kings of English football four times in the last five seasons.
Arsenal have lost consecutive league games, including their last home defeat to Bournemouth. And Haaland admits a proven winner in City’s squad could give him an advantage in the final weeks of the season.
He added: “To be honest, all we have to do is focus on ourselves. We can’t think too much about Arsenal.”
“Obviously we are watching the game against Bournemouth, the whole of England was watching the game, we know exactly what the situation is.
“We are still second and we will play on Wednesday. We are calm. Some of us have been in this situation before. It’s about staying calm and thinking about what we can do.”
