Anders Limper believes Everton have made Jack Grealish their top target in the summer and are desperate to sign him. The former Blues winger is a big fan of Grealish, who played for Everton before his season was cut short by injury in January. The forward had two goals and six assists in 20 Premier League games and was well on his way to becoming a firm fan favorite.
Grealish also clearly loved the praise he received from the Everton crowd after becoming a key player at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. He became a bit-part player at City and was overshadowed in England’s national team. However, the 30-year-old could make Merseyside his permanent home as his contract at the Etihad expires in 2027 and Everton have a £50m option to sign him on a long-term deal this summer.
The Blues are unlikely to be willing to pay him the full £50m, but given his age, it would be second only to the richest contract in history. But 1995 FA Cup winners Limper are willing to pay whatever it takes to bring the winger back into the squad for next season.
And if that happens, the Swedes, who call themselves Everton fans, think they will have their very own Martin Odegaard. Limper believes Grealish’s ability to dictate the tempo of a match is a lot like the Arsenal captain.
Speaking on behalf of Fruity King, Rimper told Express Sports: “Buy him, I don’t care how much. Buy, buy, buy, buy! Just buy him. I don’t care how much.”
“He is still one of the best players in the Premier League and we have a solid team with one of the best players in the league in Iliman Ndiayi. When Jack Grealish is playing, he takes the pressure off Ndiayi because everyone is focused on Ndiayi these days and he has to face 50 people to score.”
“When Jack is on the pitch, he’s like Martin Odegaard at Arsenal. He commands the game. When to play fast and when to play slow. When he has the ball, the whole team can move 20 yards up the pitch. You don’t have to go backwards.”

“They’re great, these kind of players. I really hope we get Jack and he can be a good fit for Everton because it will help the team and it will also help Ndiaye, who is our best player.”
The 60-year-old, who made 116 appearances for Arsenal before spending three seasons at Goodison Park, also hopes David Moyes will give him a new centre-forward this summer. And he would like to see Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesco arrive at Everton.
The 22-year-old Slovenian has continued his goal-scoring form at Old Trafford. With Sesco highly unlikely to join Everton anytime soon, Limper would at least like to see a No. 9 of a similar profile join the Toffees in the next slot. He even thinks they could reach the Champions League if they have the right frontman.
The former Sweden international added: “Everton have to solve their number nine problem because I don’t think Beto and Tierno Barry are Premier League players. I hate to say that, but they’re not. We need a solid number nine.”
“We can buy Benjamin Sesco and bring him to Everton. We need players like that, you know? With that kind of striker, this Everton team can fight for a top three or top four. That’s how good we are. But we need a striker who can take every chance we create as a team and take more chances.”
