Manager Roberto De Zerbi has just six games left to keep Tottenham Hotspur out of the drop zone or face the possibility of Championship football next season. The Italian’s hopes of a strong start were dashed at the Stadium of Light on Sunday. Nordi Mukiele’s deflected shot proved decisive in the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland.

The Lilywhites now find themselves 18th in the Premier League, two points adrift, after West Ham United cruised to the top of the table with a 4-0 victory over rock-bottom Wolves on Friday. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are level with Spurs on three points. The saving grace is that the season isn’t over yet, but Spurs need results elsewhere to stay in their favor if they are to avoid their first season outside the Premier League since their inception in 1992. With that in mind, here’s a breakdown of Spurs’ remaining top-flight games compared to the teams currently battling to stay in the top flight…
