Yankuba Minte is one of a number of attacking players Liverpool could sign in the summer as they consider the best options in their search for Mohamed Salah’s successor.

The Reds’ attacking keeper, 33, announced last month that it would be his final season at Anfield. Salah is set to leave before completing the final year of his contract signed in April last year, and the Premier League champions now face the daunting prospect of replacing the club legend.

As the season draws to a close, a number of names have already been linked to the Reds, including players currently at their Premier League rivals.

And the Mail reports that Minte has recently been mentioned as a possible summer target after setting foot at Brighton.

The 21-year-old Gambia international has contributed just six goals in the league this season but has caused trouble for the Seagulls’ defense, who paid £33 million to sign him from Newcastle. It is said that Brighton would realistically require at least double that figure to sell.

Importantly, Minte is well known to Arne Slott, having worked with the winger during his time in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord.

Yann Diomande is also a player on the list, with reports claiming the RB Leipzig winger is being scouted extensively by the Premier League giants.

However, Liverpool are unlikely to be the 19-year-old’s only suitors. And with Lightspig expected to ask for an astronomical €100m (plus £87.3m for Diomande’s services), he could decide to look elsewhere.

Hoffenheim winger Bazmana Toure is also a player to watch, but it remains to be seen whether he will be the club’s top target to replace Salah.

Salah will not be the only Anfield icon to move on to pastures new this summer, after the club announced on Thursday night that long-serving left-back Andy Robertson was close to leaving.

“Liverpool FC can confirm that Andy Robertson will end his career with the Reds at the end of this season,” the club said in a statement.

“After nine highly successful seasons at Anfield, the Scotland captain will leave the club when his contract expires this summer.

“He will do so as a true Liverpool legend, having made 373 appearances and playing a fundamental role in our success in recent years.

“Robertson, signed from Hull City in 2017, has won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup and the League Cup, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Community Shield.

“However, any celebration of Robertson’s achievements at Liverpool will be firmly on hold until the end of the campaign, with the number 26 now fully committed to helping the Reds complete the 2025-26 season as successfully as possible.”
