At this stage of the season, each game is more important than the last, so buckle up for another weekend of Premier League football. With only seven games remaining for most teams, many will be watching closely to see how the next few days unfold. Arsenal will be hoping to take another step towards the title with victory over Bournemouth, but Sunday’s showdown between Chelsea and Manchester City will probably be the biggest game to watch. However, with a number of teams dealing with injury concerns, FPL managers are left with some key decisions to make ahead of Friday’s 6.30pm (UK time) deadline.
With that in mind, Express Sport brings you the latest updates on the most popular players…
The winger picked up the injury during the international break and has not played since, missing Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final win over Sporting in midweek.
Manager Mikel Arteta has suggested he “hopes” Saka will be ready to play some role against Bournemouth, but his status is yet to be confirmed. Further updates may be released at Friday’s press conference.
The right-back has been one of Arsenal’s best performing players this season and is in exactly the same position as his team-mate.
It remains to be seen whether he will be available for the game against Bournemouth. If that’s the case, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him selected as Ben White’s starting pitcher.
The midfielder has recently hit the headlines for the wrong reasons, having been dropped as a punishment after hinting at joining Real Madrid.
The player is expected to be absent from the squad for Sunday’s game against City, but could return for next weekend’s match against Manchester United.
Manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that Guimarães is likely to miss Newcastle’s next two games against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, with Fabian Schaal likely to miss another month, but Lewis Miley is fit again.
“Bruno suffered an illness on his return from Brazil, which delayed his return,” Howe said. “There are doubts about this game and the Bournemouth game. Maybe he will come back to Arsenal.”

Everton’s star man could return from his leg injury when the Toffees take on Brentford in a decisive clash on Saturday.
He returned to training earlier this week and appeared to be progressing well, having previously missed the international break against Senegal.
The defender has not played for Chelsea since last month’s defeat to Newcastle. He suffered a hamstring injury and was not included in England’s squad during the international break.
It is unclear whether he will be fit for this weekend’s game against City. A late fitness test may be required to determine his availability.
The midfielder was seen wearing protective boots after Leeds beat West Ham last weekend to reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
Manager Daniel Farke hinted that Anton would not be fit enough to play against Manchester United, saying: “We will definitely be without Anton. He has been impressive for us all season, he can play in midfield and is very flexible.”
“His physicality winning the ball, his set-pieces and his strength in the air will definitely be missed by us. But we won’t be left without someone. If anything, it’s an opportunity for another player to shine.”
