Liverpool striker Alexander Isak was back in training with his team-mates on the eve of the Reds’ crucial Champions League quarter-final match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Alexander Isak was spotted training on Tuesday with Liverpool’s squad as they head to Paris for the Champions League quarter-final first leg against PSG.
The striker had returned to group training on Thursday ahead of the FA Cup game against Manchester City, but Reds manager Arne Slott opted to leave him out of the match-day squad for the trip to the Etihad Stadium.
Coach Slott explained before the game: “I would have liked the same thing (for Isak to come on as a substitute on Saturday), but these things are always done in collaboration with the medical staff, the performance staff and the players themselves.
“We came to the conclusion that it’s better to have a little bit more sessions and then get into a game like this right away, rather than just one or two sessions. If you put him in there could be extra time.”

“As things stand now, I hope he will be available on Wednesday and I hope again, but today was too early for him.”
Isak’s presence in training means he will be part of the squad heading to Paris, with Liverpool expected to announce their squad later on Tuesday.
Apart from the expected absences of Alisson Becker, Wataru Endo, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni, there were no other serious injury concerns during the training session.

Alisson has revealed he plans to return from his hamstring injury at the end of April, while Endo, Leoni and Bradley remain sidelined with long-term issues.
Liverpool travel to the Parc des Princes following a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup on Saturday, with pressure mounting on embattled manager Slott.
