Huddersfield Town scored in the 106th minute to beat Leyton Orient in a dramatic League One clash on Monday, but Ryan Ledson’s goal was completely overlooked on ITV’s highlights show

Furious fans took to social media to say the game ended 1-1 after ITV’s EFL highlights program failed to broadcast Huddersfield Town’s last-gasp win over Leyton Orient.

The League One clash at Brisbane Road looked set to end in a clean win when Bojan Radulovic canceled out Ladinio Barker’s own goal just before the break. However, Ryan Ledson came on in the 16th minute of second-half stoppage time to give Huddersfield a chance of making the play-offs.

Huddersfield fans were celebrating Ledson’s dramatic win, but Monday night’s highlights show inexplicably missed it, with the final score graphic showing the match finished 1-1.

The show has been frequently criticized since ITV acquired the rights to show highlights of Quest, but eagle-eyed fans quickly flocked to social media to tune in to the show.

One social media user fumed: “EFL needs to find a better custodian of TV highlights than this awful ITV show.” “Today they completely missed out on Huddersfield’s winner against Orient and instead announced that the game finished 1-1. It’s really pathetic.”

One person wrote: “This is completely outrageous for ITV. Give it to someone who cares. The BBC did a great job but it was broadcast in the middle of the night. The Quest had a great presenter who actually gave some decent analysis. ITV’s coverage is worse than amateurs and something needs to change.”

Huddersfield’s win means Alex Revell’s side remain in control of the Terriers, but remain three points clear of sixth-placed Stevenage.

Orient’s defeat means their six-game unbeaten run ends with the O’s just four points above the relegation places.
