Erling Haaland received an X-rated message from one of his Manchester City team-mates after winning the treble against Liverpool. The Norwegian added another hat-trick to his impressive collection after Josep Guardiola’s side defeated the Reds 4-0 to qualify for the FA Cup semi-finals.
Arne Slott’s side made an energetic start but capitulated against the Carabao Cup winners as the pressure increased tenfold and the Dutchman’s problems worsened. For City, Antoine Semenyo also scored in the win over Liverpool at Wembley later this month, making them the first team to reach the last four.
Haaland picked up the game ball for the 28th time in his career after completing his hat trick on Saturday afternoon. Sharing her moment on social media, Haaland posed with a match ball, but one message in particular stood out.
One of his teammates wrote, “Well done, you fucking weirdo!”

After the match, Haaland said: “This club has to win trophies on the biggest stage. It’s been a long time since I’ve done it (a hat-trick) for City. I’m very happy because it’s something special.”
The Norwegian found his boot at the perfect time to score against City in the Premier League title battle with Arsenal.
City beat Arsenal 2-0 to win the Carabao Cup again, giving Guardiola a win over his former confidant Mikel Arteta on the eve of the international break.
The Premier League has resumed with City heading into next weekend’s match nine points adrift at the top of the league. They visit Chelsea on April 12 (4.30pm) with Liam Rosenior looking to give his side a boost after their 7-0 win over Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Arsenal returned to action after a Champions League trip to Sporting CP to face Championship side Southampton. They host Bournemouth on April 11 (12:30pm) following a quarter-final showdown with Victor Gokeres’ former club.

Pep Lijnders praised City’s heroics after the win over his former club. The City assistant said: “I’ve worked with a lot of good strikers, scored a lot of goals, won a lot of finals and won a lot of trophies.
“Erling scored his 12th hat-trick for Man City today and the second goal was incredible.
“He balances his attack, his flight, the way he puts the ball into the corner. I love those old-school striker goals.
“I’m not saying he carries Norway on his back, but we all know how important he is to Norway and he feels that responsibility.
“Obviously over a long season not everything goes as planned, but to come back in this form shows his character and mentality once again.”
