Liverpool are poised to dismantle their struggling squad as Anfield bosses are set to concede a major overhaul in the summer.
The Reds are the defending Premier League champions and started the season as favorites to retain the title. It comes after a summer in which he spent more than £400m, twice breaking his own transfer record.
However, the signings of Florian Wirtz for £116m and Alexander Isak for £125m did not have the desired effect as the defense quickly fell apart.
Liverpool are currently 21 points behind leaders Arsenal and face a battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League. This has led to speculation about Slott’s future, but it appears the Dutchman could remain in a position to oversee the rebuild.
However, the team is set for big changes, with The Sun reporting that many of the title winners from 12 months ago will be available. Mirror Football takes a look at each player and how likely they are to leave.

officially confirmed
Mohamed Salah is a key name on the summer departure list. Having only signed a new two-year deal in the summer, he appears to have become increasingly disillusioned with Anfield this season.
His public outburst at Arne Slott in December appeared to be the point of no return, and despite being reintegrated into the team, there was always a big question mark over his long-term future.
That question mark disappeared when he admitted his nine-year spell at Anfield ended at the end of the season and he was likely to move to Saudi Arabia.

Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson’s contracts are due to expire this summer, with the former likely to leave on a free transfer despite receiving multiple offers.
Liverpool would like to keep Konate, but so far no deal has been reached and it appears they will at least assess his options. Robertson, meanwhile, is close to joining Tottenham in January and should leave after this summer’s World Cup.
The future is uncertain
Curtis Jones, Joe Gomez and Federico Chiesa are the three players Liverpool could offer this summer.
Jones, who graduated from Liverpool’s youth set-up, has 12 months left on his contract and there could be a move to get his signing bonus now. He has never been able to become a decent regular under the slot and may feel he can reach a new level by leaving his boyhood club.

Like Jones, Gomez’s contract expires in 2027. He has proven to be a reliable player on the team, but injuries have prevented him from truly fulfilling his potential. With the arrival of youngster Jeremy Jaquet in the summer and the potential return of Jarrell Quansah, Gomez could fit the bill.
Chiesa is also a player whose possibility of transfer is increasing. He has failed to break into the starting eleven in the slot and there will be plenty of suitors to return to Italy if he decides to call time on English football.
It wouldn’t be surprising at all if all three of them play in different uniforms next season.

The final two players Liverpool are said to be open to making offers are Alexis Mac Allister and Codi Gakpo.
Gakpo has been a near-constant presence under Slott, but has struggled for form after playing a key role in the team’s success last season. They have struggled to reach great heights this season, but with Salah also set to leave, it seems unlikely that the Liverpool manager will let such an important player up front go.
Also, he only signed a new contract last August, meaning Liverpool are likely to demand a significant fee for his services. Whether that is achievable is also debatable.

Mac Allister, on the other hand, was brilliant during his title-winning campaign, but like many of his team-mates, his performance plummeted. Real Madrid are closely linked with the Argentine international and his father was forced to come forward and dismiss the speculation as simple.
This summer is already expected to be a big turning point, and allowing Mac Allister to leave will only add to that. This feels like something players have to force themselves to do, but could that happen? It’s certainly a possibility, but it would be a headache for Liverpool and one they would probably want to avoid.
Liverpool’s owners FSG are hoping for a quick turnaround in fortunes next season. Behind the scenes, there is a perception that off-field issues are hampering their slot this season, including a number of injuries, the adaptation of new players and, of course, the tragic death of Diogo Jota.

Either way, the departures of Salah and Robertson alone will bring big changes to Anfield, with the pair having played a huge role in both of their title wins this decade.
But before all that can happen, Liverpool will have a big end to the season. It begins on Saturday with the FA Cup quarter-finals vs. Manchester City, and attention then shifts to the Champions League, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain in a tight last-eight clash.
