The Arsenal star was substituted during the first half of England’s friendly against Uruguay.
Arsenal have suffered a major injury as Noni Madueke came on as a substitute in England’s friendly against Uruguay. The Three Lions winger started for Thomas Tuchel’s side but was sent off in the 38th minute.
The incident occurred five minutes earlier, when Uruguay were trying to break into the box from the right. Madueke was slammed into by Rodrigo Aguirre and there was a half-hearted appeal for a foul, but the referee waved his hand and ordered play to continue.
The Arsenal star lay on the ground after undergoing lengthy treatment, but tried to get back up and continue playing. However, despite his best efforts, he collapsed again minutes later and was replaced by West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen.

It is the latest in a series of injury blows for Mikel Arteta, with six players ruled out of recent international breaks.
Ebelesi Eze, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel, William Saliba, Julian Timber and Martin Odegaard were all excluded from their country’s squad. The extent of his injury is unknown, but Maduke appeared to be holding his face as he left the pitch.

The Gunners star was given the chance to put his rights on the line ahead of this summer’s World Cup in America. He was the only Arsenal star to be named in the starting XI, with teammate Ben White also on the bench.
Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka were not included in the squad for the game against Uruguay, and Tuchel faced a number of star players in the final warm-up games ahead of this summer’s tournament.
Arteta and Arsenal will be hoping Madueke’s injury is not too serious. He was able to walk off the pitch, but went straight down the tunnel.
Arsenal lost to title rivals Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final before the international break, but remain nine points clear of Josep Guardiola’s side in the Premier League.
Timber, Odegaard and Eze all missed the cup final, and Arteta provided an update on the trio’s injury status ahead of the game.
As for the first two players, he said: “They weren’t available so I think it’s still going to be a few weeks. Let’s see if anyone comes back after the international break.”
“We’ll have to do another test in six or seven days and wait for the results. Is it a foot injury or a calf injury,” Arteta said of Eze.
