Kai Rooney has shone for Manchester United’s Under-16s this season, but now he has revealed a devastating blow.
Kai Rooney has released a statement confirming that he will miss the remainder of the season with Manchester United’s Under-16s. The teenager is one of the most promising talents in United’s academy.
The 16-year-old, the son of United’s all-time top scorer Wayne Rooney, has made huge strides at Carrington this season. Rooney won the Premier League Shield with United’s Under-16s on Tuesday.
Michael Carrick’s son Jaycee Carrick also featured in the 2-0 win against Burnley. However, he is currently out for an extended period due to injury. “It’s a shame to miss the rest of the season. I’ll be back even stronger next preseason,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories, along with a love heart emoji.

United’s first-team players, including Harry Maguire, are also on the roster.
And his mother Coleen previously admitted in an interview with The Times that Kai is used to being in the spotlight because of his famous last name.
