The Premier League has finally announced when Manchester United will host Liverpool at Old Trafford. Before the start of the season, the league said the approximate announcement date for games selected for live TV coverage of Round 35 would be March 25th. United welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford on Sunday 3 May at 3.30pm, with the match selected to be broadcast on Sky Sports.
However, this is not the only match chosen to be broadcast live, with Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Aston Villa scheduled to be shown on TNT Sports the day before (Saturday May 2nd at 12:30pm). Although scheduled for Saturday, the match could be moved to Sunday if Villa reach the Europa League semi-finals. Unai Emery’s side play that game on Thursday before hosting Spurs on Sunday.
Arsenal are scheduled to play Fulham on Saturday at 5.30pm, with the game being televised by Sky Sports. Meanwhile, Bournemouth v Crystal Palace, Newcastle United v Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolves v Sunderland are all scheduled to kick-off at 3pm.
Due to Saturday’s power outage, these matches will not be held in the UK. On Monday 4th May, in an unusual bank holiday kick-off slot, Liam Rosenier’s Chelsea will face Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge at 3pm, with the match to be broadcast on Sky Sports.
Matchday 35 concludes that evening with Everton hosting Manchester City at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sky Sports (8pm).
