Thomas Tuchel’s England are in their final training camp before attention turns to the World Cup, with the Three Lions taking a darts masterclass from Luke Littler.
Darts star Luke Littler linked up with the England squad at St George’s Park for a pre-World Cup masterclass. The reigning darts world champion visited the Three Lions’ home base this week to support the team.
Thomas Tuchel’s England are scheduled to face Uruguay and Japan in friendlies at Wembley next week. And while the German players will be keen to win, some stars already have bragging rights after winning titles in inter-camp darts tournaments.
Manchester City star Phil Foden faced Newcastle goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the final, and despite the former hitting an eye-catching 180, the latter took the crown.
Each team wore their own Littler-themed shirts, and swaps were also made. Littler also presented the team with a personalized dartboard featuring the Three Lions and the message “Good Luck.”

After the link-up, Littler said: “It was a dream as a football fan to come here and tour the facilities and meet all the players and sit and have dinner and laugh together. We played a little bit of darts and when we were warming up, Thomas Tuchel asked me to teach these boys a lesson!”
“Phil Foden and Aaron Ramsdale have good potential. James Trafford had a little bit too. Other players not so much! I wish the players the best of luck this summer and I hope they bring it back.”
He also shared his thoughts about the visit along with many photos on his Instagram page. Littler wrote: “None of the England players are willing to give me money yet. Thank you for a great day. Welcome back to summer.”
Meanwhile, Ramsdale relished the chance to face Littler. He added: “It was great that Luke came to St George’s Park to meet the team and wish us all the best. Personally, it was an honor to have the opportunity to step up to Oche and play against the world champions.”
England will be keeping an eye on their future efforts at Wembley ahead of Friday night’s game against Uruguay. Tuchel’s team will play against Japan on Tuesday.
England will face Croatia, Ghana and Panama in Group L of this summer’s World Cup.
