Manchester United’s Brian Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko have withdrawn from international duty with Cameroon and Slovenia.
Manchester United pair Brian Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko have been left out of the squad for this month’s international break, but their fitness concerns do not apply to their upcoming Premier League game against Leeds United.
The two strikers will not fly to their respective countries and will remain in Carrington for the next two weeks. Both players featured in United’s 2-2 stalemate against Bournemouth, with Sesco replacing Mbeumo in the 71st minute.
Sesco’s Slovenia are scheduled to play Hungary and Montenegro in the next 10 days, while Cameroon will face Australia and China in friendlies. However, the duo’s absence is not expected to rule them out against Leeds on April 13.
