Tottenham lost 3-0 to Nottingham Forest, severely damaging their chances of remaining in the Premier League and leaving manager Igor Tudor without a win after six domestic games.
Jamie Carragher has told Tottenham to sack manager Igor Tudor following Sunday’s nightmarish 3-0 home defeat to fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest. As a result, Spurs have fallen to 17th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone, with seven games remaining.
Tudor’s record after six league matches is dismal with five losses and one draw. The former Juventus manager was hired to guide Tottenham back to safety after a difficult winter under Thomas Frank, who was sacked in February after just eight months in charge.
However, Tudor was unable to turn the tide in north London as he did not perform post-match media duties due to a bereavement in his family. That’s why Carragher believes it’s best for all parties to go their separate ways during international holidays.
The Liverpool legend told Sky Sports: “It’s disappointing for him given his family situation and the consequences, but I think it would be better for Tottenham to part ways with Tudor and consider bringing in another manager between now and the end of the season.”

With Spurs’ next game away to Sunderland on April 12, Carragher continued: “They have to do it now. It didn’t work. The manager tried different things. It was a different system, a different style of play.”
“Initially, he came in and was playing man-to-man pressing with a back three. In the last few games we’ve changed to a 4-4-2, very direct football. So he’s been trying different things and it’s not working.”
“And, like I said, if a manager loses his job early in his reign it will be tough on him, but the important thing is that the reason he took the job was that he would have an immediate impact and that hasn’t happened.”
As for who will replace Tudor, Carragher added: “I think it’s someone who has a relationship with the club in terms of getting the supporters involved.”

“You have to think, ‘How can we keep this group of players and this club in the Premier League now?’ As for the scene outside the stadium (before games), it’s been a while since I’ve seen it, and they need something like that between now and the end of the season.”
Tudor’s assistant Bruno Salter answered questions at Tottenham’s post-match press conference and was asked about Tudor. “This is a personal family matter and obviously a difficult moment for him,” Bruno explained.
“I’m just trying to support you in the best way I can… Like I said, I think this is a personal matter, so I’m going to leave it at that.”
