Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho slams American pop star after interaction involving daughter and singer’s security team
Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has accused American pop star Chapel Lawn of leaving his daughter crying. The Italian ace claims a security guard interrupted his wife and daughter’s breakfast in an aggressive manner after his 11-year-old son walked past to see if it was Roan.
Roan, 28, shot to fame in 2023 with her smash hits ‘Hot to Go’ and ‘Good Luck Babe’ and is known for her bold, drug-inspired performances. The Grammy winner is a major name in the festival scene, but has also seen some controversy, despite some kinder stories coming out.
She won’t have any fans of Jorginho, who won the 2021 Champions League and Euros and is currently plying his trade with Flamengo in Brazil following an incident in which his family attended Lollapalooza BR in Sao Paulo. It turns out that Jolingo’s partner Kat Kaveri and daughter Ada were staying at the same hotel as Roan.
After a brief relationship between Jude Law and Kaveri, the excited youngster – Jude Law’s daughter – reportedly walked past the artist’s table at breakfast before Roan’s security alerted them.
“Earlier today I went through a very upsetting situation with my family,” Jorginho wrote on Instagram.

“My wife (@catcavelli) is in São Paulo for @lollapaloozabr. She woke up this morning incredibly excited and even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires or used to admire. @chappellroan
“By coincidence, they are staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist passed in front of their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her, got excited, and wanted to make sure it was really her.”
“And the worst part was, she didn’t even come close. She just walked past the singer’s table, smiled to make sure it was her, and went back to her mother and sat down. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”
“What happened next was completely out of proportion. While they were still eating breakfast, a large security guard came to the table and began speaking to both my wife and daughter in a very aggressive manner, telling them that they should not allow their daughter to ‘disrespect’ or ‘harass’ other people.
“To be honest, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table to see if someone is there would be considered harassment.
“He also said he would complain to the hotel, but my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there crying. She was very upset and cried a lot.
“I’ve lived for many years with football, public exposure and famous people, so I understand what respect and boundaries are. That’s not what happened there. I was just a kid looking up to someone.
“It’s sad to see this kind of treatment from people who should understand the importance of fans. After all, they are the ones building this whole thing.
“I sincerely hope this is an opportunity for reflection. No one, especially a child, should have to go through something like this.
“@chappellroan Without your fans you are nothing. And to them, she doesn’t deserve your love.”
