England manager Thomas Tuchel announced his latest squad this morning ahead of friendly matches against Uruguay and Japan at Wembley. The German manager is expected to bring back at least one player from Manchester United, with Kobie Mainoo, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw all in the slot thanks to the Red Devils’ form in the Premier League. Real Madrid’s Trent Alexander-Arnold also hopes to join this group.
The right-back has not featured in the England squad since June last year but is fully fit again. Teammate Jude Bellingham could also join the Three Lions squad despite being injured since the beginning of February. Even if Bellingham is unable to play, Tuchel is thought to be hoping to have senior players in and around camp ready for this summer’s World Cup over the next two weeks.
