The two sides meet on Sunday in a six-point relegation battle, but mixed fortunes befall both teams in midweek.
And although it will mean an extra game for Vitor Pereira’s side, Sidwell believes they are ready for a relegation battle.
Asked who he thought would be relegated, Sidwell said: “Spurs.
“I think only about momentum. I know they’ve had some decent performances and results in Europe. But I was down there, and it’s difficult. You watch the games and you think, ‘I don’t know where the points are going to come from.’

“You have to think Leeds have been there before, they know what it’s like, Forest would have been in and around it too, they’ve got players who have been through it.
“Spurs don’t have it and I don’t see enough fight or desire in that dressing room to get them out of there.”
Spurs are 16th in the Premier League table, one point above Forest and West Ham and two points below Leeds.
Former Forest and Tottenham midfielder Andy Reid has taken a more diplomatic approach, choosing another club on the verge of falling into the Championship.
“For me it’s Leeds,” Reid predicted on TNT Sports. “I think they’ve done really well, but they haven’t been able to separate themselves yet so I think they’ll be looking over their shoulders.
“So I think Leeds will be drawn in. But it’s certainly exciting, right? It’s different if you’re one of the clubs there, but if you’re watching this game from a neutral standpoint, it’s definitely exciting. No doubt a lot of clubs over there are nervous.”
Ortega: ‘Tired’ Forest have ‘big chance’ to beat Spurs
Penalty shootout winner Stefan Ortega saw all three of Midtjylland’s penalties go wide and said there was “a buzz” in the visiting dressing room.
Pereira made nine changes from the 0-0 draw with Fulham in the Premier League and Ortega was impressed by the energy shown by everyone in front of him.
“Everyone is happy, everyone is cheering. Everyone is tired, too. It was a long battle today. We played very well with energy from the beginning. There were a lot of changes, but it was an incredible energy and the energy of the supporters who came from afar to watch us. The same goes for the situation in the league that we are in. This feels very good,” Ortega said.
“Honestly, I thought it would have been better to score before the end, but then we scored and it was offside. They could have made a break at the end and we were all tired. We were lucky today. It’s a 50-50 shootout, but we’ll take it.”
“Everyone is tired but this should be a big boost for the next few weeks. We have a big chance to get three points (against Tottenham on Sunday). Let’s get on top of that and keep going.”

‘Big chance to get three points’ – Ortega sets his sights on Spurs after European win

Pereira said he made the mid-match changes to preserve his players’ legs ahead of this weekend’s clash in north London, rather than as a reaction to Forest’s form.
“I’m very happy,” Pereira said. “Today we proved that we came to compete. We have good, talented players. The first half was great. On this difficult pitch, we were at a high level. We have to balance our players for this weekend.”
“I started subbing not because I wasn’t playing well, but to balance my energy and prepare for Sunday.
“There is no doubt that we have quality. We will fight for our goals. I would also like to thank our supporters, because today they deserved to continue winning this competition.”
