Slott is bullish on Liverpool’s future
It has been an underwhelming season for Liverpool so far, but Arne Slott insists the team’s future is bright.
The Reds face a battle to maintain their top five spot and fell short of Champions League qualification, but the Dutchman was keen to highlight the positives in his pre-match press conference.
“Those who watched the Paris Saint-Germain games, those who watched the home games, I think (our) future is certainly bright,” he said at a pre-match press conference.
“This team has proven that it can compete with the best teams in Europe. This team is already a very strong team, but with the departure of Robbo (Robertson) and Mo (Salah) we need some changes. As I have said many times, our future is bright.”
“We are not thinking about the number (of transfers needed). We know about the areas and which players will leave. Let’s see what happens in the summer first, then we will have a better idea of what should happen.”
