Mykhailo Mudryk has issued a message reminding him that despite his time away from football, he remains committed to his training regime. The Ukraine international has been banned from training with Chelsea while he awaits the outcome of a doping case following “adverse findings in a routine urine test.”
Madrik has been out of the Blues squad since November 2024 and is currently training with a private coach away from Cobham. The 25-year-old once again shared footage of him practicing his shot on Uxbridge FC’s 3G pitch, which he was spotted with at the non-league club earlier this month.
The winger posted a montage of his goals on his Instagram Story, showing him taking a shot with both feet and sending the ball past a dummy. Madrik is now sporting a fresh look that is markedly different from the bleach blonde style that many remember.
The high-profile player has been out of action for more than a year after receiving a provisional suspension after testing positive. Mudryk could be suspended for up to four years, but the exact nature of his punishment has not yet been disclosed. The winger has vehemently denied the charges and is still awaiting the results of the ‘B’ sample.
Earlier this year, Mudriku appealed to his supporters to maintain faith in him. “Happy New Year to all my fans,” Mudrik wrote.
“I want to thank you all for your support. I see all your messages and I really appreciate them. So don’t give up on me, just like I don’t give up on myself. I can’t wait to see you again.”
In November, World Anti-Doping Agency President Witold Banka said the organization was awaiting the FA’s verdict. “First of all, we are waiting for a disciplinary decision in his case (from the English Football Association). As of today, we don’t know when that will be,” Banka said.
“Then, in accordance with anti-doping regulations, we will request documentation from the athlete and decide whether we agree with this disciplinary decision. We can appeal in two cases: if we think the decision is too harsh or too lenient.”

Madryk was also mentioned in recent comments by Brentford owner Matthew Benham. Speaking at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston, Bees bosses revealed that Madryk was among several players his club had failed to recruit for meager compensation.
“There’s always going to be regrets,” he said. “I said before that we could have signed Eze for £4m in 2019. We could have signed Marmouche on a free three years ago.
“(Both) could have been signed for a combined total of around £4 million. In the summer when we got promoted to the Premier League, there were actually two players that we scouted amazingly, amazingly well.
“One is Mudryk, who if we were to sign him could be a bit complicated, but we came very close to signing him for a low fee of around 20 million euros, but he is currently serving a drug ban, but in the end we signed him for around 80 million euros.
“Michael Oliseh, his scouting was out of this world, but we had just been promoted and were not used to the exorbitant agent fees in the Premier League at the time.”
