Manchester United fan Luke Littler brutally trolls supporter of Premier League rival team’s walk-on

Luke Littler was in Nottingham for a Premier League appearance on Thursday night and decided to pop to the fans while he was a walk-on before facing Luke Humphries.

Luke Littler enjoyed interacting with the Nottingham crowd on a frenetic night in the Premier League. The Nuke narrowly defeated Gerwyn Price before losing to Luke Humphrys, who played the pantomime villain.

Littler never shied away from interacting with spectators at darts events, and his support for Manchester United was also regularly talked about. The 19-year-old was fired up in his 6-5 win over Price in the quarter-finals, causing the crowd to roar when he hit a double top and tightened his legs after consecutive mistakes.

The youngster had received a whistle from someone in the crowd, but when it came time to walk out for the semi-final against Humphries, he was ready to fight back. He was clearly informed of the Nottingham Forest result and could not resist when the camera zoomed in on him.

When the announcer gave him a big build-up, Littler held up a finger to indicate 1-0, raised his eyebrows, then gave two thumbs down. The cheeky gesture was mindful of Forest’s loss to Midtjylland in the Europa League that night.

The Danish side narrowly won the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie at the City Ground on Thursday night, despite the hosts having 22 shots on goal. The pressure is mounting on new manager Vitor Pereira, who will be Forest’s fifth manager this season, as his team’s winless record now stands at five games and they are just out of the Premier League relegation zone on goal difference ahead of Sunday’s game against Fulham.

Littler fell on the next step and lost to Humphries, his first win over his rival since last May’s Premier League final. However, the youngster was still pleased with his performance and posted on Instagram: “Get 2 more Prem points on the board. Nottingham (check emoji).”

That sentiment was not shared by Forest fans, who booed off the pitch at the final whistle in the pouring rain. “It’s difficult to explain. We created many chances to score goals. Even if we drew, in my opinion it was not fair,” Pereira told TNT Sports.

“In the two chances they created, they scored. But we had enough time and I believe we had the quality to win the game. Even if we created chances and we didn’t score, in the end we did everything to score. We did everything and just missed the goal.”

“It’s very frustrating that we didn’t score and they came for a draw and we won the game. We’re trying to keep our spirits up and get ready for the next game against Fulham. They played against us even in the rain! At the best moments when we were playing, creating and having good dynamics, the rain came down.

“It was raining and it was difficult. Like I said before, we’ll keep our spirits up and go into the game with a winning mentality. We’ll see what happens next. Now it’s time to recover mentally.”
