Manchester United are set to appoint a permanent head coach this summer, with Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola one of the names on the radar of the Red Devils and their Premier League rivals.
Manchester United and Tottenham are among the Premier League clubs should Andoni Iraola decide to leave Bournemouth at the end of the season.
The Cherries head coach, 43, has been in new territory since replacing Gary O’Neill on the south coast in the summer of 2023, leading Bournemouth to their best ever Premier League result last season. Unfortunately for them, Iraola’s work has gone unnoticed elsewhere and with his contract expiring this summer, potential suitors are starting to emerge.
A number of top clubs are set to search for a new manager for the 2026-27 season, including Manchester United and Spurs, who are said to be fans of Iraola, according to the I-Paper.
They also claim Crystal Palace, who will replace Oliver Glasner who leaves at the end of the season, are also interested in Iraola. Iraola has kept Bournemouth on the upswing even after losing key players and has further increased his stock over the past six months.

Iraola has been linked with availability at United and Tottenham, but is now said to be an immediate target of Crystal Palace, with Italian and Spanish clubs also interested. Interestingly, Glasner has been touted as a potential target for both United and Spurs, who have made him an interim appointment until the summer.
But Bournemouth are hoping they can persuade Iraola to extend his stay at the club, despite starting contract negotiations with the former Rayo Vallecano manager a year ago.
The report states that the club plans to resume contract talks with Iraola during the upcoming international break and hopes that he will take note of how players like Thomas Frank have progressed after finding success with stable clubs.
Crucially, Bournemouth are in a position to invest in the summer rather than sell after being forced to liquidate assets such as Dean Huyssen, Milos Kerkes and Antoine Semenho in the last two transfer windows.
Manchester United, one of the clubs whose financial situation will be under scrutiny in the coming weeks, have seen a huge turnaround in results and performances since handing over the reins to Michael Carrick.
However, it remains to be seen whether Carrick will take the full-time job as United continue to link up with other coaches.
