The other full Premier League match will see Leeds United visit either Brentford or West Ham United on Monday night. The draw took place at the London Stadium as part of TNT Sports’ pre-match preparations for the only remaining five-round draw to conclude the weekend’s round of matches.
The FA Cup quarter-final clash will take place on the weekend of Saturday 4th April, after this month’s international break. Organizers will announce the exact date and kick-off time in due course after the tournament’s television broadcasters, the BBC and TNT Sports, have selected their television programs.
Both semi-finals at Wembley Stadium will take place three weeks later on the weekend of Saturday 25th April. This year’s final will take place on Saturday 16th May, the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season.
TNT Sports will broadcast all quarter-final matches, two of which will also be broadcast on the BBC. Both semi-finals will also be shown on pay TV channels, with public broadcaster showing one of the matches. The two will each broadcast their final matches.
Arsenal and Chelsea will be looking to avoid Premier League opponents in tonight’s draw for a chance to reach the semi-finals. The Gunners are playing an in-form side in the Championship at Southampton but could still be in the hunt for a play-off place by the time they return to FA Cup action.
Port Vale are also not mathematically relegated yet and have a few games left, so carrying their FA Cup form into League One could give them a chance to stay up in time for the trip to Stamford Bridge. Liverpool and Manchester City are still battling it out on multiple fronts, with the latter potentially aiming for a double domestic cup title if they defeat Arsenal in the League Cup final.
Brentford, Leeds United and West Ham United will all be aiming for a chance to reach the semi-finals after the draw.
