Max Dauman has enjoyed an eye-catching breakthrough season at Arsenal, with £60m summer signing Eberechi Eze among the players who have been impressed by his contribution.
Eberechi Eze has hailed Arsenal youngster Max Doman as a “special, special” player as he continues to collect records in north London. The midfielder has made a name for himself with the Gunners this season.
He became the youngest player in the club’s history when he featured in the FA Cup match against Mansfield Town. He is also the youngest player to play in the Champions League, Arsenal’s youngest starter and the club’s youngest Premier League player.
Eze, who signed for £60m from Crystal Palace this summer, has been asked about his abilities and appears to be a big fan. He said: “He’s a special, special player.
“For him to be able to play in those situations, be able to handle the ball well and dribble like that shows he has a special talent. We’re all trying to support and help him as much as we can to help him grow, improve and reach his potential.”

He added: “Max is very different to most players, but he’s a very confident person. He has a lot of belief in his own abilities. To be fair, that’s the same with a lot of players coming out of the academy recently.”
“Once they come to train with the first team, they believe in themselves. It’s a positive energy to be around.
“He’s a special player, but he’s also a special person. I can see him developing well and he’s a good guy. He’s fun to be around.”
Eze wasn’t the only one to praise Dauman’s performance so far. Mikel Arteta also praised the 16-year-old’s performance against Mansfield.
“I’m very proud of him and I’m very proud of Marli as well. Obviously, two 16-year-olds starting in the FA Cup. That tells you a lot about their personalities and qualities. And Max, I think he was an exceptional player.”
“When the ball is bouncing all over the place and there are people behind him, the way he handles time and space and his touch is just incredible. Especially the speed at which he delivers that action speaks to the talent we have.”
Dauman will be looking to continue to have an impact at Arsenal in the coming weeks. The Gunners continue their Champions League journey in midweek with a trip to Bayer Leverkusen.
Arteta’s side will welcome Everton to the Emirates Stadium as they refocus their efforts to win the Premier League title.
