Arsenal ‘lead the race’ to sign Bayern star
“The Gunners did not make an offer in January, but they have shown that they are aware of the fact that Goretzka is considering a move away from Bayern,” Falk said. “There were very specific discussions with Atlético Madrid and the sporting director was in Munich.
“The player’s goal is to move to the Premier League. He wants to play for Arsenal. Of course, there is no guarantee that Arsenal will come back in the summer with a concrete offer.”
“I heard he loves the Premier League and his style of play suits English football. But he is not focused on just one club this summer.
“If Arsenal are there, he would be happy to sit down at the table and listen to offers. Tottenham are also interested and that could be an option, but Spurs are not as attractive an option as Arsenal at the moment.”
Goretzka quickly became one of Bayern’s most important players after joining from Schalke in 2018.
He has made around 300 appearances for the German club, scoring 48 goals and providing 49 assists. During his time with Munich, he won six Bundesliga titles and also won the UEFA Champions League in 2020.
Goretzka also played in 67 games for Germany, scoring 15 goals.

Libramento ‘pinned’ to join Manchester City
Former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider that City are likely to fill the spot vacated by Kyle Walker with the 23-year-old for a fee of around £70m.
“As far as I’m concerned, I think that’s about right,” Wyness said.
“I spoke to my agents and they said it was going to happen. They were expecting a big number, around £70m. As we say, this is a big record-breaking number.”
“But I think he’s the right player for City. I think he’s a talented player and that will help Newcastle raise money.”
Despite being plagued by injuries, Libramento has become an important player for Eddie Howe’s Newcastle side, providing an attacking threat from right-back. He has also played for England three times.

Multiple clubs keeping tabs on former Villa striker
Diaby, who currently plays for Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, is reportedly on the ‘priority list’ of a number of top clubs.
According to Fussball-Daten, Premier League clubs Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also eyeing Diaby, as well as Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid.
The report said: “Diavi’s explosive speed and technical skills in tight spaces have attracted the attention of several clubs who are urgently looking for creative wingers.”
“The 26-year-old France international (11 caps) is at the perfect age to compete again at Europe’s highest level.
“A return to the Bundesliga is currently the most likely possibility and could be a decisive boost in Dortmund’s sporting restructuring. However, Newcastle United’s financial strength could spark a fierce bidding war.”
