Tottenham’s 3-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace has put Igor Tudor’s side in even more dire straits as they sit just one point off the relegation zone with nine games remaining.

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse for Tottenham, they made things worse. Spurs are now closer than ever to slipping into the relegation zone after a nightmarish midweek result.

After both West Ham and Nottingham Forest picked up points, Thursday’s clash with Crystal Palace was a must-win or must-win game. Dominic Solanke’s goal at the end of the first half put Tottenham ahead, but a frantic 10 minutes before the break in north London saw Igor Tudor’s side reduced to 10 men and they quickly found themselves 3-1 down.

Palace made good use of Micky van de Ven’s disappointing red card to maintain a comfortable lead. Things remained that way until the final whistle, with Spurs remaining just one point and two places above the drop zone after three straight defeats under Tudor.

With nine games left for most teams, all eyes are on who will play who before the season ends on May 24th. Mirror Football looks at the six clubs currently in the relegation battle and predicts who will be relegated.
