Tottenham lost 3-1 at home to Crystal Palace, leaving Spurs just one point clear of the relegation zone, and pressure is already mounting on the caretaker manager.
Manager Igor Tudor insisted he had “more faith” in Tottenham to break the table, even after fans backed his team.
Tottenham’s stand-in captain Micky van de Ven was sent off, leaving them just one point out of the relegation zone and humiliating Crystal Palace.
Thousands of fans were ejected at half-time, with stewards having to hold back fans in the stadium who were shouting abuse at club hierarchy in the director’s box and club analysts in the stands.
They went 11 games without a win in the Premier League, and caretaker manager Tudor conceded nine goals in his short spell, losing all three of his games in charge.
“It may sound strange, but I believe more after this game than before. I saw something. We need to pick the right players,” Tudor said.

“People on the boat can stay and others can get off the boat. Once the others come back, I’m confident we’ll have a good team.”
“I can’t say anything to them after this, so I want to be positive. They gave everything. We’re missing defenders, we’re missing full-backs, among many problems. I don’t want to talk about it, but we need to stick together. It’s about believing and growing. We still have nine games.”
Tudor also insisted he understands the feelings of fans who were hostile towards the ejected fans and players.
“I want you to understand the fans, it’s normal for things like this to happen in football. They’re disappointed and they wanted more. We’re away. That’s when one red card changed everything,” Tudor said.

It was a disastrous start, with Prime Minister Tudor refusing to say whether he wanted to remain in power. He added: “No comment on that question. I’m not thinking in that direction. I have a job to do. That’s it.”
Palace manager Oliver Glasner praised his players and joked about Ismaila Sarr’s goal being ruled out for offside by VAR.
Two-goal hero Sarr put the ball into the net to make it 1-0, but video replays showed his nose was offside. “I told him his nose was too long!” Glassner said.
“I was very happy with the players and how they reacted after being behind. It was a great performance.”
