Tottenham’s alarming season has reached a full-blown crisis, with the north London outfit now facing the very real threat of relegation from the Premier League.
Igor Tudor is already a man under serious pressure at Tottenham Hotspur. The Croatian was a draft pick to replace Thomas Frank at the North London club, who were in a slump.
But there is no doubt that his arrival made things even worse. Spurs have lost their opening three games under Tudor and are in a precarious position, just one point above the relegation zone.
With nine games left in the season, the Spurs may choose to make further changes to the dugout as they desperately try to escape the championship.
But if the embattled coach Tudor is thrown out, who can actually step in? Mirror Football is considering five realistic candidates.

ryan mason
Former Spurs midfielder Mason has actually parachuted in on numerous occasions, even though his managerial career is only just beginning. He took over the reins from Jose Mourinho in 2019 and led Spurs to four wins in seven games at the end of that season.
Mason was re-appointed to the role two years later after Cristian Stellini’s disastrous tenure. This time, he won two of his six matches as manager.
Mason has since begun his own managerial career, but his first job at West Bromwich Albion lasted just 27 games after leaving Spurs.
harry redknapp
The 79-year-old, a name that needs no introduction to Spurs supporters, enjoyed four brilliant years at the club early in his career. He helped the North London side qualify for the Champions League.
Since then, Redknapp has played for Queen’s Park Rangers, Jordan’s national team and Birmingham City. After leaving the latter, he retired from management, but it would be difficult to imagine that he would not be tempted to return to Spurs.
robbie keene
The former forward was also rumored to be returning soon after Frank was sacked, although there are sources connected to Spurs. The former Ireland international striker has been in the spotlight ever since he was appointed as manager.
He was given his first role at Maccabi Tel Aviv after stints as an assistant at Leeds, Middlesbrough and the Republic of Ireland. But it is Ferencvaros that Keene is making a name for.
He has already won the Hungarian title with the team and led them to the last 16 of the Europa League.

roberto de zerbi
If Spurs want to look elsewhere, they may reconsider their interest in former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian attracted attention with his performances at the Amex Stadium ahead of his move to Marseille.
Although he left the French team in explosive circumstances earlier this season, he would still be a great option. De Zerbi will naturally join as a free agent.
Edin Terzic
The last option the Spurs can turn to is a guy who has been linked to the job before. Last month, it was reported that former Borussia Dortmund manager Terzic was being mentioned as a possible option.
The 43-year-old arrives in North London having helped the Bundesliga team win the German Cup and reach the 2024 Champions League final. He has been out of work since leaving Signal Iduna Park in the summer of the same year.
