‘It means a lot’ – Carrick enjoys ‘positive’ reaction from fans at Manchester United

Manager Michael Carrick has guided Manchester United to third place in the Premier League table ahead of Wednesday night’s exciting clash with Newcastle United.
The Red Devils once again outscored Aston Villa in a thrilling comeback, this time coming from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Old Trafford.
Carrick’s excellent start has propelled the team into pole position for next season’s UEFA Champions League qualification ahead of a tough test against The Magpies.
Liverpool’s loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday gives United a chance to increase their lead in fifth place to six points.

Meanwhile, Eddie Howe’s side performed well in this season’s Champions League, but have endured a difficult run of form in the Premier League, languishing in 13th place.

Newcastle have lost their last two league games, losing 2-1 to Manchester City and then losing 3-2 to Everton.

However, if they can pick up three points against Manchester United, who are in good form, it will be a big boost to their bid to qualify for Europe.

With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know to watch Newcastle vs. Manchester United live on TNT Sports and Discovery+.
