Casemiro has already confirmed he will leave Manchester United this summer once his contract at Old Trafford expires, and the Red Devils are currently considering his replacement.
Casemiro has named Newcastle star Bruno Guimarães as a possible replacement after leaving Manchester United. The Brazilian midfielder announced earlier this year that he would be leaving the club when his contract expired.
The contract contained an option to extend the period with further campaigns, but that option was not adopted. That leaves the Red Devils with time to consider potential replacements for the former Real Madrid star, but it appears Casemiro himself will have a big say.
According to Spain’s AS, Newcastle midfielder Guimarães is at the top of the list of potential signings. He came to Japan on the recommendation of his compatriot Mr. Casemiro. The Red Devils reportedly view Guimarães as a key addition for the future.
Another Newcastle star, Sandro Tonali, is also being considered, with United believed to be ahead of Juventus in the race to sign the Italian player due to the Serie A side’s precarious financial situation.

Newcastle, of course, do not want to lose either of the duo, but the loss of income from failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League may force them to make a move.
United manager Michael Carrick said of Casemiro: “I have to say that Case has been fantastic on and off the pitch since I arrived. Experience is great when used correctly.”
“And again, I think being a senior player here, you have a responsibility to set an example and help the younger players, help the rest of the players and pass on your experience in a positive way.
“Well, he’s been at the top of his game in many ways since I started. He’s been a lot of fun to work with. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with him for a few more months.”

Regarding his potential replacement, the former midfielder added: “Yeah, well, listen, I think it’s an important position. Obviously I’m not biased as a midfielder, but I think it’s an important position to try to tie everything together.”
“You connect with the whole team and it’s sometimes emotionally, a little bit mentally and showing a little bit of poise and understanding of the game.
“And Case’s has a lot of influence within the group in that regard. So it’s certainly something we’re very aware of moving forward.”
Other midfield targets linked with a move to Old Trafford include Brighton star Carlos Baleva and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.
