Daniel Farke was shown a red card for scolding the referee after Leeds’ defeat to Manchester City at Elland Road, but plans to appeal his sending off.
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has appealed the red card following the team’s home defeat to Manchester City and plans to ask the FA to review footage from the referee camera in a bid to overturn it.
After the final whistle at Elland Road, Falke was sent off for attacking referee Peter Banks. But Falke claims the card was swung around before he could say anything to officials.
The German was stunned by the decision and was seen asking Banks why he was sacked.
Falke has told club officials what happened and believes the footage from the camera Banks held to his ear during the match will prove he did nothing wrong.

Leeds are expected to lodge a formal complaint with the FA. And the club believes the video footage is likely to prove Falke irrefutable.
Farke is currently facing a suspension but is still expected to be on the touchline for Tuesday’s crucial home game against Sunderland as his case is not dealt with in time.
Leeds assistant manager Edmund Riemer defended Falke. He said, “It’s unfortunate because he’s never been an overly aggressive or overreacting coach.I think it was a very tough decision.”
