Arsenal are guaranteed to finish ahead of north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur after Igor Tudor’s side suffered a disastrous defeat away to Fulham.
Arsenal fans already have a reason to celebrate this season after Spurs’ defeat to Fulham on St. Totteringham’s Day. Igor Tudor’s side lost 2-1 at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon.
Harry Wilson put the home team ahead and former Arsenal player Alex Iwobi doubled his lead. Richarlison found a foothold for Spurs in the second half, but was unable to complete the comeback.
And while Arsenal would suffer another miserable afternoon for their bitter rivals, their defeat was even more significant.
With 10 games remaining this season and 30 points, Spurs are already 32 points behind Arsenal, meaning they will officially no longer be able to finish above them in the Premier League table, and the day is affectionately referred to as St. Totteringham’s Day by Arsenal fans.

But this day is even more important because it has arrived earlier than any other campaign this season. Arsenal fans celebrated the occasion on social media.
One fan said: “Once a Gooner, always a Gooner. Happy St. Totteringham’s Day, Iwobi!”, while another added: “Happy St. Totteringham’s Day…”
Arsenal have dominated their North London rivals during the Premier League era. Arsenal have finished ahead of their fierce rivals in 25 of the last 33 seasons in the Premier League, and that record has now been extended further.

And while the Premier League title may be a little higher than their goals, there is also a chance they could secure another memorable record against Tottenham before the end of the season.
The largest difference between the two teams at the end of the season was 45 points, with Arsenal amassing 90 points en route to the title in 2003-04, finishing the season unbeaten.
Arsenal took an important step towards breaking that record by defeating Spurs away last week. Ebereshi Eze scored two goals against Spurs and had a hat-trick against them earlier this season.
Randall Colo-Miani managed to find the back of the net for Tudor’s side, leveling the score. However, Victor Goqueres scored twice in the second half to round off Arsenal’s comprehensive victory.
This victory allowed Arsenal to take a big step towards the Premier League title. However, Spurs remain effectively relegated, with only four points separating them from 18th-placed West Ham.
