Barça agree to sign Rashford
Barcelona have agreed to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford on a permanent loan deal this summer, according to a report from the Daily Express.
Rashford has been active in Spain since joining on loan in August, scoring four goals and providing eight assists in the league.
And Barça are willing to trigger a reported £26m trigger clause to make the move permanent.
“According to Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona remain interested in making Rashford’s move permanent, with suggestions that his agent met with the club’s sporting director Deco earlier this month.
“Rashford is pushing for a permanent move and is aware he may have to make some wage sacrifices given his contract with United runs until 2028.
“Barcelona have endured clear financial problems in recent months and the reigning Spanish champions plan to spread Rashford’s wages on a long-term deal.
“Negotiations are reported to be progressing quietly, but importantly, unless there is a major setback, an announcement regarding a permanent transfer will be made at the end of the season.”

“Coach Marcelino is confident that Gueye will remain at Madrigal, where he has a contract until 2028.
“However, the Villarreal manager admitted that there would be no stopping the former Marseille star if he decided to leave the Spanish team.”

Tonali reluctant to return to Serie A
Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali will not return to Italy, the Daily Mail reports.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks, with Arsenal also rumored to be interested. Tonali will join Newcastle from AC Milan in July 2023.
“The 25-year-old credits his development during almost three years at Newcastle, where he played under Premier League manager Eddie Howe, and attributes some of that to the strength of England’s top flight, which has six teams in the last 16 of the Champions League, compared to Serie A’s Atalanta alone.
“Tonali’s future on Tyneside is uncertain, but if he were to seek a move, Italy would be an unlikely destination.”

Amorim wanted by new club
Former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim could be appointed as the new manager of Brazilian club Vasco de Gama, according to The Sun.
Amorim left the Red Devils in January but could already have a new job lined up.
“Amorim is said to be planning to take up a new job in Brazil. VDG Cast claims he is now a target of Vasco da Gama.”
“The Rio de Janeiro-based team is looking for a new coach following the departure of Fernando Diniz last week. Diniz was sacked by coach Vasco after Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Fluminense.”
“In the league, the club is placed 17th with just one point from three games.”
