Chelsea have issued a ‘statement of intent’ after announcing a huge new contract in time for this weekend’s Premier League game against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have announced IFS as their front shirt sponsor until the end of this season. IFS is said to be the world’s leading industrial AI provider.
Their logo will appear on Chelsea’s home kit when they host Burnley at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. The women’s team will wear a new sponsor on their kits when they take on Manchester United in the FA Women’s Cup on Sunday.
With the help of the club, IFS software and AI agents will be implemented at Chelsea. This will reportedly improve accuracy across club operations as part of a multi-year global partnership with the company.

Chelsea president Jason Gannon said in a statement: “We are extremely proud to partner with IFS and leverage their cutting-edge AI software to lead the club to even greater success.”
“This partnership is a statement of our intention to continue leading in this field, harnessing the opportunities presented by advanced technology and unlocking the power of AI to improve everything we do on and off the pitch.”
Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS, added: “In sport, like in industry, margins are small, stakes are high and it’s all about the right decisions at the right time. That’s the global economy.”

“Chelsea FC adheres to the same uncompromising standards and their shared ambition is why we are proud to be their principal partner.”
This is the third consecutive season that Chelsea have unveiled a temporary sponsor on the front of their kit. The first company was Infinite Athlete, an American sports data technology company.
Chelsea signed the deal at the end of September 2023 and continued to wear the shirt throughout the 2023/24 season. Although they are still a club partner and have their logo on the sleeve of their training kit, they did not continue to sponsor the Blues’ match shirts after that campaign ended.
A sponsor for the 2024/25 season will not be agreed until April 2025, with Dubai-based property development company DAMAC agreeing in the final month of last season. With IFS serving as the club’s shirt sponsor for the last three months of the current campaign, Chelsea have spent less than half of their time with a shirt sponsor over the past three seasons.
The Blues’ most recent permanent sponsor on the front of their shirts was communications company Three. The deal was completed at the end of the 2022/23 season, several months before Infinite Athlete’s arrival.
