Arsenal had Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard taken off with possible injuries in their Premier League game against Wolves, but there has reportedly been a positive update on one of them.
Bukayo Saka’s injury scare against Wolves doesn’t seem to be too much of a worry, despite being forced off again against Molineux. Leandro Trossard replaced Saka after he limped off with what appeared to be a knee problem.
According to the Evening Standard, the England international required on-pitch treatment before being substituted in the second half, but is not thought to be injured. After the match, it was said that there was positive news regarding his participation in Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham, and he is now in good hands.
Saka was still available for post-match duties after the 2-2 draw, another strong sign that he should still be available for the must-win derby showdown.
Meanwhile, Trossard, who was initially named on the bench by Mikel Arteta, was also forced off in stoppage time on Wednesday night. Riccardo Calafioli was substituted and Wolves scored a late equaliser.
The severity of Trossard’s potential injury is yet to be confirmed, but it is claimed he could be a doubt for Spurs.
Arsenal ultimately dropped yet another point in the race for the Premier League title, finishing in a 2-2 draw despite leading by two points.
The Gunners held the lead for much of the match and Saka opened the scoring after just four minutes with a header from close range.
Piero Hincapie’s goal was ruled onside by VAR, doubling the away team’s lead.
But Hugo Bueno’s superb curling effort into the far corner pulled Wolves back into the game and Arsenal eventually crumbled under pressure in stoppage time, with David Raya and Gabriel creating chaos as Samuel Edzier headed home.

After the disappointing draw, Saka told the BBC: “I’m disappointed. There’s nothing else to say. There was a big difference between the way we played in the first half and the second half. We lowered our standards and we got punished for that.”
“There is a time to focus on ourselves, raise our standards and improve our performance, and that is something we can control.”
The result gives Manchester City the chance to close the gap to just two points ahead of the North London derby, with Josep Guardiola’s side hosting Newcastle United on Saturday night.
Eddie Howe’s side are without captain Bruno Guimarães, with the Brazilian without a win in any of his 10 league games since making his debut in 2022.
