Richard Keyes became a hot topic on social media after the news of Sean Dyche being sacked by Nottingham Forest, but Laura Woods didn’t miss out on the opportunity either.
Laura Woods cheekily trolled Richard Keys after it was announced after he foretold Sean Dyche’s sacking at Nottingham Forest. Forrest broke up with Dyche, 54, early Thursday morning.
The side, who are struggling in the Premier League, released the statement at 12.31am, less than three hours after their disappointing 0-0 draw at home to bottom-placed Wolves. When Keyes woke up, he clearly hadn’t watched the news.
More than five hours after Forest’s statement was released, the former Sky Sports presenter posted on X: “Would anyone be surprised if Dyche went today?”
Of course, no one was surprised because he was already gone. Keys, who is set to leave his role at beIN Sport at the end of this season, became a hot topic on social media.

Woods chimed in, writing, “If you keep saying the manager will be fired, eventually you’ll be right.”
Many other soccer fans took the opportunity to ridicule Keys. One person joked, “I’m glad you were the first to break the news.Do you have any news about the Beatles, who are rumored to be disbanding?”
“Do you think England would win the World Cup if Alf (Rasmy) started (Jimmy) Hurst instead of (Jimmy) Greaves?” another joked.
“I hear Sir Alex Ferguson is retiring too,” a third person wrote.
Since then, Keys has not posted to the X account. He has clashed with Woods before, after Woods called his reaction to Terry Yorath’s death last month “terrible.”

“I am saddened to hear of Terry Yorath’s passing,” Keyes said. “He was a fighter and he captivated the fans wherever he played. He was great for us at Coventry and was the reason I got Gabby (Logan) to work at Sky.
“I had no idea who she was when I met her, but her father did. Rest in peace, Terry. Your daughter was so proud.”
Woods replied, “I’m sorry…but what did you mean? I said it without any surprise.”
Keys has confirmed he will return to the UK this summer after 13 years working with long-term partner Andy Gray on beIN coverage, but he is not retiring. In a recent blog post, the 68-year-old declared that “there is no bad blood between me and beINSPORTS.”
“I have loved every minute of my time in Qatar. It is a country that means the world to me. I have a deep love for Qatar, but the time has come for me to move on.
“I’m not retiring, I’m just changing direction. There’s a lot more ahead.”
