It was the fourth time Arsenal have dropped points since the start of the year, following goalless draws with Liverpool and Nottingham Forest and defeat at Manchester United, allowing them to close the gap on City in the title race.
Keown, a three-time Premier League champion with Arsenal, wasn’t too worried about the draw at the G Tech Community Stadium but urged Gunners players to stand up and be counted.
“Confidence is so important right now and by giving the players the confidence that the manager can feel that belief, he can empower the players. Keep telling the players how good they are,” Keown told TNT Sports.
“Nothing really went wrong for Arsenal tonight. No big drama. Let’s move on. You get knocked down, you get back up again. Let’s see who’s the fighter. And let’s see who wins.”

‘Why not? ‘ – Keown forced to reveal title predictions after Arsenal draw

“Arsenal came through here tonight. If they had won the game they could have put up a really big marker but it never looked like that was going to happen and I have to give credit to Brentford for that.”
“They played really well here and I think Arsenal will take that as a really good point that they finally got.”
Mikel Arteta’s side have finished runners-up for the past three years, but this season they are aiming to be crowned English champions for the first time since 2003-04.
Asked if Arsenal would win the league, Keown said: “They’re favorites to win the league and they’re not going to make me commit! They have a huge chance of winning it. Why not? That’s a yes!”

City have the ‘know-how’ to win titles
Arsenal’s title rivals Man City have dominated English football in recent years, winning six of the last eight Premier League titles.
Only Liverpool managed to break Josep Guardiola’s trophy dominance in the 2019/20 and 2024/25 seasons.
“What Manchester City have is the know-how and the recent history behind it,” Peter Crouch told TNT Sport.
“Arsenal’s second-place finish has led to some criticism and that could certainly cause some tension around the stadium towards the end of the season.
“With City and Josep Guardiola behind you, you’re always looking over your shoulder, but you’d rather be in Arsenal’s position. They’re four points clear and probably have the best team in the league.”

‘It’s definitely not a foul’ – Crouch and Keown clash over Brentford equalizer

Arsenal have been leading the Premier League title race since October and Arteta will be looking to finally improve on their run of second place.
The Gunners are seen as a team to beat after strengthening their squad in the summer with the signings of Martin Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze, Victor Gyokeres, Madueke and Cristian Mosquera. And Crouch believes there are few excuses left for not delivering this year.
“You definitely learn more every year in this job. The criticism is that (Arteta) has been in this job for a long time, with the best team in the league, a good squad of players, but he was unlucky with some of the top teams (last season),” Crouch said.
“I don’t think there is a top team, a top team in the league now. Manchester City is not the City of old, Liverpool are not the same, Manchester United are not the same, Chelsea are the same.”
“There is a lack of quality in the top areas. The bar has been set very high in recent years, but I think this is a real opportunity for Arsenal. If they don’t get over the line, more questions will be asked.”
